Learn the difference between filtered fume hoods and ducted fume hoods. This session will describe how filtered fume hoods work and can be used for acid, solvents, and bases in one hood. You will learn how to do energy cost analysis for filtered fume
hoods so that the data can be compared to energy costs of ducted fume hoods. It will also explain how filtered fume hoods can be a safe solution in labs while maintaining compliance with local codes, ASHRAE 110 and AFNPR NFX15-211.

Darryl is the Vice President of Sales at Air Masters Systems. Darryl has his Bachelor of Science in Biology and MS in Marketing. He spent the last 24 years in the laboratory industry and his knowledge of fume hood safety is both from a user and manufacturer standpoint. As Vice President of Sales at AMS, he brings that expertise to help choose the correct fume hoods for all applications. His last 11 years has been with Air Master Systems, who manufactures laboratory fume hoods and furniture including casework, work benches, tables and floor mount hoods.
Denis Coons is the Development Manager at BedcoLab. After college when Denis began his work in the lab casework field, an old timer told him, he would never leave. 38 plus years later, he’s still here. Denis has worked for big and small companies during his career and has met many people from architects to general contractors to end users. He’s seen all the trends in the industry and he knows what works and what doesn’t. He’s worked on and won projects ranging from $100 to $24M. I guess you can say he’s I’m one of the old timers now.
Dylan Van Dyne is the territory representative for Labconoco for ND, SD, MN, WI, IL, IA, and part of IN. He started with Labcono as an Inside Sales Rep almost three years ago. He has trained under all the wonderfully talented Managers, Ventilation Technology Managers, Product Managers, Application Specialists, Product Service Technicians, Customer Service and many in our Engineering department. He’s worked and learned in this role for over a year before being promoted to Outside Sales Rep. Labconco is a small but large company that seems more like family than anything. Always, learning, teaching, and wanting to become better for customers experiences.
Lori Macleod is the US Sales Manager for CiF Lab Solutions. Lori has been in the casework and fume hood Industry for over 30 years designing and outfitting educational, teaching, and research laboratory environments.
Tim McGowan is the Solutions Specialist for the Midwest Division at H2I Group. Tim joined H2I in 1993 as a storage solutions consultant for North and South Dakota as well as Minnesota. He helps companies design, budget, and build new facilities. He works specifcally with designers, architects, and end users.
