Anderson Ladd partnered with the City of Winona to renovate the gymnasium in their East Recreation Center (ERC). The ERC gym celebrated its grand re-opening in May of 2018.
The ERC was in need of new flooring and equipment to remodel their gymnasium and make it more functional for the community. The ERC hosts many community events, and their gym is a heavily trafficked area, especially for local kids. They needed a quick renovation that could get their courts ready for the fast approaching summer activities.
Anderson Ladd provided and installed the Pulastic Flooring by Robbins. The Pulastic Classic 110 is a seamless continuous sports floor that is durable, long lasting and affordable. Its seamless, non-porous and smooth surface makes for easy maintenance and repair. The Pulastic Flooring’s excellent acoustics and sound absorption make it the ideal choice for large facilities that host multiple events and sporting activities. The Pulastic flooring also features custom painted game lines in colors matching the facility. With regular maintenance, this investment will last the ERC for years to come.
The team of experts at AL worked with the city of Winona to pick out flooring and gym equipment that would best fit the needs of the ERC. Customized wall pads and backboard pads were chosen in different colors for individual courts within the facility.
The facility renovation included 4 wall mounted backstops, 2 new backboards, wall pads, and divider curtains, all manufactured by Porter Athletic and supplied by Anderson Ladd. The wall mounted mechanically operated backboards and divider curtains assist in keeping the gymnasium a multi-use space that serves different uses for community events and recreational activities. The equipment can easily be raised and lowered from the ceiling at the touch of a button.
