Westminster Presbyterian Church is a historic building located in downtown Minneapolis. Built in 1897, the building was recently expanded to include new spaces for worship, youth, congregational, and community gathering. Haldeman Homme/Anderson Ladd came on board to install new hardwood flooring in the garden room, recreation room, the Great Hall, and the libraries. Maintaining the historic feel of the building was first priority. For a few of the rooms, existing wood needed to be matched and fixed.
For their wood floors, Westminster chose the Robbins Air Channel Star system with maple. The system features anchored laminated sleepers to provide dimensional stability and superior performance. The sleepers are laminated and engineered to be less susceptible to physical changes due to moisture.
